FOTD: Featuring Pure Luxe Eyeshadows

My mineral hauls came in left and right last week during spring break. Sadly, I haven't really tried playing with them since I've been swamped with school work, tired from work, not waking early enough to get ready in the morning, and there's just so much to play with I didn't know where to start (yea I know soo many excuses)!!!!

Anyway, so today I actually woke up early for once, so I had time to sit in front of the mirror to do my makeup. I decided to use my Pure Luxe mineral eyeshadows since they came to my door first. I actually had trouble foiling the eyeshadows because I'm not used to foiling, and the fact I was working with a different texture of makeup. But I managed, and I actually liked how it turned out since I was just winging the whole thing! I need to practice some more so I can whip it out faster than I'm doing it now. Oh, and I also tried my Buff'd Mineral Foundation in Buff sample.

Argh, so many lemmings! I'm thinking if should get more brushes than I already do. It does help though since half the time I don't have time to clean my brushes right away. Sooooo maybeeeee? I just want more makeup in general (even though I only have a pair of eyes).

Stay tuned for more looks using other MMU brands. I still have my SheSpace and Franchesca's Eyeshadow to play with :).

About Pure Luxe Eyeshadow: I LOVE THEM. I REALLY DO!! The colors are sooo pretty (see swatches here), and they're good either foiled or dry. It's very pigmented and very affordable. I didn't have a hard time blending them together, and whatever color you see in your jar is the color you get.

  1. DAMN IT ANNE!!!! I've already decided on TMM!!! How did your mu look so vibrant, but yet the pure luxe swatches I've seen are so dang sheer.I really like it and my wallet is mad at you :P Gotta resist....

Guess what I found out online... the ecoTools (is that the name???) brushes you posted awhile ago are available at Walgreens!!! So I think I'm going to skip MAC hauling this Friday and go to local stores :P:P:P:P

  10. Lurve: the pure luxe e/s are actually not sheer at all. i guess you just have to read the description. it's actually really pigmented in my opinion. the crease color i didn't even apply it foiled. I was so happy it lasted the whole day though (8-10pm). i had a long day today. i guess it also helped that i dabbed then sweep the e/s.

yea the ecotools are available at walgreen. i thought i had mention that in my post. but then again... the post was so long it probably drowned in there or something. but i really love the brushes!! it's sooo soft and not to mention uberly cheap too!

    vanessa: aww thanks hun!

  12. the black brush is the large paddle face brush. it was featured on one of enkore's video and is s'posed to be comparable to the mac 134. don't have that, though, so i can't really compare the two. haven't even tested it out yet, but i'll let you know. :)

btw, i saw your posts in the t-123 forum. sucks that you missed out! haha. pretty much all the colors are out of stock, too.
