Biker Cool

The weather has been a little deceiving lately. I would peek out the window and see that the sun out thinking that it would be nice and warm. But once I leave out the door, it's actually pretty chilly. The struggle.

Layering is key when it comes to unpredictable weather. I've layered my Topshop sleeveless top underneath this t-shirt dress. Not only that it keeps my body warm, but it changes the look of the t-shirt dress with the high neck of the top peeking out of the neckline of the dress. It's almost like having another dress. I've been playing around with different ways to mix and match my current wardrobe.

My OTK boots still allows me to flash a little bit of my legs without freezing my butt off. I love pairing these boots with a dress for spring. Keeps the leggies warm, but not hot enough that I'll be sweating wearing them.

The Grey Dress

Funnel neck dress Topshop

When you're strapped for time or always on the go, you're glad to have those easy peasy, versatile pieces in your closet. Lately, my rule of thumb when I'm shopping for clothes is "will this get me out the door quickly?" That holds true for this dress (the dress I'm wearing is already sold-out, but here's a similar version with sleeves). Maybe I'm slowly transitioning to a more minimalistic style when it comes to getting dressed with the pattern I'm seeing lately with my recent clothing purchases. I've been looking for simple details that will be easy to mix-and-match with my current wardrobe.

Since this dress is pretty minimal, it becomes a blank canvas for my accessories. While I can easily wear this alone, it wouldn't be a shabby idea to accessorize it with my latest DIY creations which allows me to wear this dress in more ways than one.

I've scoured the intenet for some other similar versions of this dress that will have you swinging this spring and summer:

Cold Shoulder

Exposed shoulders cut-outs are making a comeback again. Although, I've always liked the whole exposed shoulder when it comes to showing a little bit of skin without being too risque. Maybe that's part of the reason why I held on to this top for awhile. Yellow is also just a pretty color and appropriate color for spring. But here's another cute option for this top in a dress form.

If you haven't seen my latest DIY yet, I've DIY'd this choker wrap necklace that was inspired by this Free People piece.  It's super easy and a great inexpensive option if you're want to a simple, bohemian accessory to any outfit.

You can also put your own spin to it depending on your style. They're also so easy to make that you and your friends can easily make multiples of this together to last you until Fall.
