And It Was Called Yellow...

Equipment Kenton Cotton Shirt
Equipment shirt (in white) / Joe's Jeans shorts (similar) / Karen Walker sunglasses (also available in tortoise) / Uniqlo belt / EssexLA clutch (similar) / Zara lace-up sandals (old, similar here, here, and here)

Sun's out, legs out. I wanted to coordinate with the mood and weather by wearing a bright yellow top. I love this Equipment top because of its super soft, light, and airy material. I love the little banana embroidery on this one. It's fun and a bit quirky to get you in that summer mood. Even though it's blazing hot outside, my lovely pits :) have some breathing room with this shirt. I'm one to get super hot easily, so if I'm wearing anything long sleeves during the spring or summer, it has to be light-weight material. I also just love the relaxed fit of this top which easily pairs nicely with some light wash shorts.

I added the leopard clutch because it was a nice contrast against the light palette. It's almost unexpected. Another cool thing about this clutch, I was able to customize it, down to the zipper.

Closet Edit

In my previous post, I mentioned that I recently did a closet edit. For awhile now, I've been wanting to just go through my clothes and only keep the ones I'm still going to wear. I have also been good and haven't really shopped since my Black Friday and Winter Haul (which was about three months ago!). I just wanted to make sure that the things in my closet are still something I still love and will wear before having any more additions. Whatever didn't make the cut will be donated or listed on Poshmark.
One of my latest closet finds is this fuzzy, cropped sweater. I remember getting this sweater because I wanted a cropped sweater for layering. Sometimes, my closet is like a pandora box. I never know what I'll find. I've always though this sweater was cute, but like some of my clothing pieces, it gets lost in the pile. It really helps to go through your whole closet because you actually see what you might have forgotten. It's almost like coming home with new pieces from a shopping trip.

Tropical

Equipment shirt (another color via Nordstrom Rack) / Big Star BF shorts / Forever 21 hat (similar) / Uniqlo woven belt (similar) / Celine bag (similar) / Zara sandals (similar)

Lately, I've been finding myself daydreaming about taking off somewhere tropical this summer season. Although we are fortunate enough that our weather allows us to enjoy the beach year-round, there's nothing like taking off in a plane, and exploring some place brand new. It's in my list of things to do this year to take a real vacation, away from work, where I can simply relax by the water.

As I was browsing Nordstrom Rack for my getaway outfits, this Equipment pineapple top caught my eye. It's the perfect tropical vacation shirt. How can you not daydream about sipping a piña colada while you sunbathe or watch the sun set in Hawaii/Tahiti/*insert some dreamy tropical place here*?

Daydreamin'

J Crew White blouse, Current/Elliot Army pants, Balenciaga Gold Town Arena, Daniel Wellington Classic Sheffield, beautybitten
J. Crew blouse / Current/Elliot pants / Equipment femme button-down / Zara boots (similar) / Balenciaga bag / Daniel Wellington watch

After having back-to-back action-packed out-of-town weekends, I'm actually looking forward to a relaxing weekend (meaning: Downton Abbey marathon... obsessed!). I'm still recovering from being sick due to exhaustion and having little rest these past few weeks. My body is finally telling me to calm down and just slow it down a notch.

A little bit of rain, a little bit of sunshine. Waiting for the next rainfall to swing by LA. I guess I missed some of the downpour while I was out exploring the east coast. Since rain is pretty rare to come by around this town, I always look forward to staying in and just lounging around the house to the sound or rain.  But I guess, I'll just have to enjoy the sunshine for now.

Grey

Equipment Femme, Zara buckled ankle boots, leather skirt, beautybitten

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I have to say that this past weekend was probably the most productive weekend I've had in months. Did all the mundane adult things that I had to do. I mainly worked on my closet and got rid of the things that I haven't worn in years (yes, years) as I've mentioned in my previous post as part of my things to do. I'm pretty happy that I did some major progress with it. I even found things that I almost forgot that I had!

Leatheralls

And my obsession with faux leather continues. I'm almost determined to own at least a faux leather version of something in my closet. I have the hat, skirt, and shorts have been checked off the list so far. These overalls are the latest addition in my closet.

Yellow Leopard

Cold season is upon us! And I have been one of the unlucky ones who caught it this past weekend :(. I ended up spending some quality in my bed with a cup of tea and glasses of water as I nurse myself back to health. I think I was the only person who was stuck in a room on a beautiful day.

It's Always Sunny... in Palm Springs

It's Alway Sunny... in Palm Springs

I'm so excited for this weekend! I know it's only Wednesday, but my mind is already wandering to Palm Springs. It'll be my first time there ever. Almost every Memorial Day Weekend has been spent somewhere in Vegas. I told myself to limit the Vegas trips and try to go to other places I've never been. So the boyfriend booked a hotel for the weekend, and we'll be on our merry way to this giant oasis in the middle of no where.

I still need to pack, but I can't wait to relax, do nothing, bask under the sun, and drink some adult juice while the rest of LA experience a low 70 degree weather... not even cold enough to go to the beach.

My luggage will probably have one outfit that looks something like this. What better place to wear a wide brim fedora other than Palm Springs. I will definitely have my Zara hat in tow. And Equipment blouses are quickly becoming an obsession. Their shirt is just so damn soft. As far as bag goes, I currently have my eyes on the PS11 or PS1. It changes depending on my mood. Lastly, I can't believe that I found something similar to the shoes I previously pinned here. I haven't been into cut-out shoes lately, up until I saw some hybrid looking ones, and these Topshop shoes are close enough for me. Too bad they're out of my size.

So, what's are your plans for the long weekend? Fortunately, my weekend some what starts tomorrow! But I'll be in class for Beauty Lab at the new Youtube Space in Venice. It's a whole day shenanigan with other beauty/fashion Youtubers, and I'm really excited!
