2015

Grey shirt (on sale for 40% off) / Zara pants (similar, on sale for only $40) / Forever 21 faux leather jacket (similar) / Zara backpack / Zara boots (similar) / Forever 21 choker necklace / Jewelmint necklace

Aaah! It's the last day of 2015! How time flies. This year has been definitely the most interesting year for me. This year, I did the bravest thing I can possibly do by deciding to give my dreams a chance. I finally made the leap to do what I've always wanted to do which is become a full-time blogger and Youtube content creator. If you were following my vlogmas videos this year, I had dedicated a video talking about this decision to pursue it full-time. It's been a few months now, and to this day I still can't believe that I'm doing this. It's both exciting and scary at the same time. I've never been so out of my element up until now. All my life, I feel like I've always lived very comfortably, and now I get to shake things up a little bit :).

There are days when I sometimes question myself or days when I'm terrified. But you know what they say, if your dreams don't scare you, they're probably not big enough. It's also kinda ironic because ever since I've resigned from my comfortable, very secure corporate job, I have learned to relax and not stress the future too much. Nothing is certain in life, and no matter how much you stick to the plan, it might not always work the way you want it be. So why stress on something that hasn't or maybe won't even happen now. As I'm going through this journey, I'm just trying to be more aware, enjoy the present moment, and just learn from everything, whether it's good or bad.
2015 has been a heck of a ride! I still can't believe that in a few hours, we'll be ringing in the new year! I can't wait for what this year is going to bring.
Before I end this post, I just want to say THANK YOU from the bottom and every inch of my heart for all your support! Whether you have been with me ever since I started this blog and Youtube channel or just recently discovered my outlet, thank you so much. I wouldn't be able to do this on my own. Your support and encouragement have kept me going, and it truly means so much to me. I hope you'll continue to join me in this journey. I'm looking forward to what 2016 is going bring, and I can't wait to share it with you.

Happy New Year! I'll see you next year :).

BaubleBar Post Christmas Sale Picks

BaubleBare Post Christmas Sale Picks

I've recently found a new obsession with BaubleBar after shopping some pieces during their Cyber Monday sale. I picked up the Moto Collar and Guru Pendant necklaces which I've been wearing frequently lately and have received plenty of compliments on them. These necklaces are currently back on sale again for a limited time.

As I browsed through their sale pages as soon as I saw the e-mail alert came through my phone. I'm glad that they have a really good selection of jewelry on sale, but below are some of my favorite pieces. Most of the pieces here eventually ended up in my shopping cart. Sherling Plaid

The dust has finally settled. Christmas is officially over! It felt as if I've waited for this day forever, and it was over in a blink of an eye. I hope everyone had a merry Christmas, for those who celebrate, with their loved ones. I spent Christmas Eve at my parents' house and had all sorts of delicious food that my dad, grandma, and brother made. My mom was in charge of the decor and ambiance of the house.

I just realized that we also only have a few more days left before 2015 is officially over! I'm still trying to figure out what to do for New Year's Eve.

Alexa

This outfit was clearly inspired by one of my fashion icons, Alexa Chung. I've always admired her minimalistic, no fuss outfits. She just dresses and carries herself so effortlessly that makes her easily one of my fashion inspirations. I automatically thought of her when I saw this coat hanging on the rack, hence why I bought it (also because I needed a warm coat to pack with me for New York :P).

Here are some other great boucle coat options:

However, because of the boxy, oversized fit of this coat, it can get a little tricky when it comes to styling it. Depending on what you're wearing, you can look really bulky on top. So for this look, I kept it simple with an all black outfit with the coat as the main piece. I added a little bit of interest by mixing and matching different textures (wool vs. coated "waxy" pants). I've also paired this look with a black skinny pants to give it a streamlined look.

I've put together the last few looks that I've done with this coat in my latest video on my YouTube channel. I hope you'll check it out! You can also find the blog posts on these looks below in case you want to Pin them:

Quilted Faux Leather Skirt

One of the things I like about going-out is the getting dressed part. Something about getting all prim and proper for a night just makes it a little extra special. My night time get-up usually consists of either an all black ensemble or one black staple piece. But for this outfit, I chose to break up an all-black look with this grey coat just to switch things up a bit.
If you're looking to wear a skirt in the cooler weather, I really like wearing faux leather skirts since it gives you the extra warmth that you probably need. You can also layer it with tights if it's a little bit freezing in your area. I've had this quilted skirt from Topshop for years, and I like wearing it during the holidays. Here are other fun faux leather skirt options to wear for any holiday parties you might be attending this year:

Hope you're having a great weekend so far, and checking off names in your holiday shopping list!

How I Wore My Sleeveless Blazer

Styling a black vest

These past few days have been warm for us again lately. Sometimes I'd walk out of the house in a full-on winter outfit, and then find myself sweating a few minutes of being out and about. Sometimes, LA weather is a little be unpredictable. I've learn to consult the weather app on my phone before getting dressed, but even that sometimes can be unreliable. But luckily, I somewhat found a happy medium with this outfit when the weather was a bit in between.

If there's one thing that I like about the cooler weather, it's about wearing boots. Although you can somewhat wear them year-round, I still prefer wearing them when it's a bit cooler outside. I really like how these boots have a some what masculine appeal to them. They are double-monk style boots that's very reminiscent of maybe a pair of shoes that a man in your life might wear. I also like this style in particular because of it's higher heel and gunmetal hardware detail that makes it very edgy. It would definitely look good with a moto-style jacket. These Paige Denim cropped pants have been on a heavy rotation ever since I bought them a few months ago. I'm still obsessing how well they fit me, and how comfortable they feel. I also love how they look because of the coat on the pants. They're definitely making a few appearances lately on my blog just because I keep reaching for them whenever I'm getting dressed. I've worn them with my favorite sweater, and also have styled them with prints and fringe.

Anyway, if you're wondering why I'm at the airport, watch my vlog to find out.

Grey Boucle Coat

Mesh boxy shirt / Grey boucle coat (similar) / Paige Denim Jeans / Vans slip-ons / Daniel Wellington watch / Quay Australia sunglasses / Chanel WOC

This coat has been getting plenty of use from me lately. It gives me the Alexa Chung vibes (girl crush) which is probably why I picked it up in the first place. I've also been in the grey mood lately which also explains the grey pants (last seen on this post)

In other news, I decided to participate in vlogmas this year where I'll try to vlog everyday until Christmas day. It's definitely going to be a challenge, but I'm up for it. I can't promise that every single content will be always interesting since it'll involve some of the mundane, regular parts of my life. I already posted my first vlogmas video yesterday, and I'm so glad about the positive feedback and support that I'm getting from it. I hope you'll tune in!

Cargo Pants for Fall

Collared long-sleeves / Current/Elliot cargo pants (also available at Bloomingdales) / Marled boyfriend cardigan (50% off use code: EVERYTHING) / Zara Western-style boots / Balenciaga bag / Fendi sunglasses

Final few hours until Cyber Monday is officially over (see my Cyber Monday post with deals and picks here)! I'm still trying to scour online for some great gifts for my loved ones for Christmas. I'm doing it differently this year by not doing my shopping last minute. And I'm proud to report that I've made some progress and have checked-off some names on my list. Sometimes the struggle can be real when shopping for someone else, so I'll be starting a gift guide series here to give you some ideas for the holiday season.

Speaking of shopping, I finally posted my Winter + Black Friday haul on my Youtube channel. These are just some of the things that I picked out for myself since some of the deals were too hard to pass up on. I can't wait to style them in my upcoming outfit posts!
