How I Do My Brows (Brow Routine)

One of my least favorite things to do (before) when it comes to my beauty routine was probably doing my brows. I've always had a problem filling them in and could never get them to look "on fleek". I've always envied nicely groomed thick brows and wish that mine would at least look half way decent.

Then, my friend Heart invited me to be her guest to attend the Benefit Cosmetics reveal in Las Vegas earlier this year. Back in May, Benefit Cosmetics released their new brow collection that changed my brow game.

If you're wondering how I've been doing my brows lately, I've created a video showing you my brow routine step-by-step. Benefit Cosmetics' brow products are currently my latest brow arsenal to achieve a full and bold brow look. For reference, I'm currently using Shade 4 for Benefit's brow products.

I have to give it to Benefit Cosmetics how clever their word play is when it comes to naming their products. Their products and packaging live up to magically transforming my brows. Not to mention, the packaging is also adorable.

Browvo! Conditioning Primer

This is the first step to my brow routine. Sometimes I even use the Browvo! Conditioning Primer right before bed to help with the eyebrow hair growth. I do use another conditioning primer at night to ensure that there are no traces of makeup on the applicator.

Back in the day, when I didn't know any better, I thought it was a great idea to over pluck my eyebrows. It was part of growing up in the 90s when thin eyebrows were a thing. To this day, I'm still paying for that mistake. However, by applying the Browvo! Conditioning Primer either at night or before I do my brows, I have noticed hair growth in the patchy areas of my eyebrows. It's been a slow process, but prior to using this primer, I've had a hard time growing hair in my bald spots.

Just like an eyeshadow or face primer, this primer has helped my brows last longer throughout the day. I've been out and about the whole day and worked up a sweat during my work-out, but my brows manage to still look great without any fading.

Goof Proof Brow Pencil

If I was to choose only one thing out of the four items that I'm currently using right now for my brows, the Goof Proof Brow Pencil would be my go-to brow pencil. There were times when I just need to get out of the door, and there wasn't much time for me to do my whole brow routine. I simply grab my Goof Proof Brow pencil when this happens. I can fill-in my brows within minutes or do them on the way to where ever I need to be. I like how the pencil softly fills in my brows especially the bald areas. The pencil also comes with a spoolie on the other end, so you can easily blend the product for a more natural look. While other brow products I've previously used usually fades at the end of the day, the Goof Proof Brow pencil lasts until I have to take it off. I've even had it on after an intense work-out and sweating. It didn't budge.

Precisely, My Brow Pencil

I use Precisely, My Brow Pencil for touch ups and to draw hair like strokes on the head of my brows. I don't necessarily like to fill-in that part of my brows, but that part is some what bare and could use a little help. I like how the pencil is very skinny that it gives me the precision that I need for a more natural look.

3D Browtones Gel

For the final step to my brow routine, I set my brows with 3D Browtones gel. It adds a subtle highlight effect on my brows that gives it a bit of dimension while keeping my brow hair in place. It gives me the extra oomph to complete my brow look.

And that wraps up my current brow routine. These products have definitely made it easier for me to do my brows and have immensely helped me improve my brow game. I no longer have to dread how my eyebrows look that day. Benefit Cosmetics helped magically transformed them.

FTC: Not a sponsored post. Benefit Cosmetics gifted me with their new brow collection when I attended their reveal as a guest in Las Vegas with my friend, Heart. As always, all opinions are my own.

  1. Coat the gel upward and outwards and finally wipe off any excess gel and leave it to set. When it gets set, you will be left with a pair of gorgeous, perfectly defined eyebrows. Manhattan eyebrows microblading
