Rodarte Sweater (hooded version) / J.Crew jeans / H&M faux fur jacket (old, similar) / Forever 21 beanie (available in 3 colors) / Vans slip-ons / Zara backpack (old, similar style here)
I've had this faux fur jacket in my closet for a few years now, but I rarely reached out for it until recently. Maybe it was because LA winter has been summer-like in the past years that I didn't really need a thick jacket to stay warm. But the temperature has definitely dropped lower than usual and this has been my go-to jacket.
Last time I featured this faux fur jacket in this blog, I actually wore the same sweater underneath. See how I styled the same two tops into a different outfit in this post. It seems like my subconscious has fancied this top combo. I've always thought that faux fur jackets are only meant to be worn for dressier occasions hence I've only worn it as an outerwear for the fancier nights out on the town. In short, it hung in my closet for the most part of winter. However, since I've been trying to utilize most of the pieces in my closet, I've been experimenting with looks using what I currently have. And I realized that wearing this faux fur jacket for a more casual look works just as well.
I like how this faux fur jacket just some how pulls the whole look together. It's still a casual look, but the faux fur adds a bit of an attitude to the whole outfit. I also cuffed my pants to show a bit of skin and to give it an even more relaxed look.

I've also been all about my Vans slip-ons that I wear them whenever I can. By the way, can you believe that I've had this pair for almost 10 years now? I remembered that I having them during one of my visits to my parents house. Who knew this would be one of my most worn shoes now?
