Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Sweet & Savory Lipstick Swatches

Here are some lip swatches on most recent Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks addition that were part of their Sweet & Savory collection released earlier this summer. I didn't swatch these lipsticks when I received the PR package back in May since I thought they were more appropriate for fall.

When I had open up the box with the new lipsticks, I was a little concerned on how the colors would look on me as they're something I normally wouldn't pick out for myself. However, I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved some of the colors in this set.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks - Sweet & Savory

(Available in 42 colors)

Price: $26

Available at: Sephora and Sephora.com

What it Claims: Swipe on bold, creamy lip color with Bite Beauty’s Amuse Bouche. Created and crafted by hand, Bite’s small batch, low-heat process preserves a balanced blend of lip-quenching nutrients, vitamins, and omega oils that are essential for achieving healthy-looking lips. Made with 12 edible oils and triple milled pigments, this lipstick provides saturated lip color with weightless coverage and a citrus flavor made from fresh pressed fruit. Formulated WITHOUT: Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates (from the Sephora website)

Formula

The formula of these lipsticks are very creamy and comfortable to wear. Every color that I swatched were extremely pigmented with one swipe. It also applied very smoothly while providing moisture on my lips and left a satin finish. The lipsticks has a pleasant yet citrusy scent and taste to it that's not too overpowering.

Overall Wear

The lipsticks have amazing color payoff. However, they easily transfer on my mug and when I did a kiss test on the back of my hand. Even though the lipsticks easily rubbed off after I had my lunch, the darker colors left a stain on my lips. I also I want to point out that the color does settle in the crease of my lips, so something to be aware of when you're wearing this as you might need of a touch-up. Even though the color doesn't last as long, I didn't experience any feathering on the edges of my lips even without using a lip liner prior to applying the lipstick.

Lip Swatches

Thistle

Mauve infused taupe. Thistle is the most wearable shade out of the Sweet and Savory collection. I love this color because it's a great every day nude lip color. It's a great nude for people like me with a warm and yellow-undertone skin color as it doesn't wash me out.

Taro (Limited Edition)

Amethyst with grey undertones. I didn't know how or what to feel or think about Taro in the beginning. But after awhile, Taro has became one of my favorite colors in the Sweet & Savory collection. Bite Beauty did an amazing job with coming up with this color because they really nailed it by trying to match it up to my favorite purple drink/Filipino dessert (aka ube). Taro is that lipstick that is borderline out of the ordinary yet still manages to be wearable. It's definitely a step up if you're into mauve colors like I am. Unfortunately, this color is no longer available on the website.

Lavender Jam

Electric blue violet. Lavender Jam is very reminiscent of the lip color in one of the Snapchat filters (you know, the one with the Bratz looking doll with the rainbow and hear stickers on your cheeks). If you really like that lip color as a filter, this lipstick is for you. Unlike the other lip colors that I swatched in this set, this one didn't apply as evenly. It took a few swipes for me to get an even coat as it would get a little patchy whenever I rub my lips together. However, if you're looking for a fun lip color to wear, this one is for you.

Whiskey

Rich mahogany red. Whiskey is my favorite out of all of them! I have a soft spot in my heart for dark lip colors. Whiskey might have to be my fall lip color this year. I love how deep the lipstick shade is and not to mention how it has a hint of 90s in this shade. Lately, I've been really into lipsticks that has that grungy look to it. It's also my fall version of a classic red lipstick. The perfect lipstick when I'm doing a more vampy look.

Kale

Deep hunter green with black. Kale is something I normally wouldn't even think of reaching out for when I'm buying lipstick. It's the type of lipstick that looks like it would look great on during an editorial shoot or as part of a Halloween costume. It's a little too daring for my taste, but Kale is a close dupe for the Kylie Cosmetic lip kit in Trick minus the glitter.

Squid Ink

Deep navy with black. For me, Squid Ink is somewhat of a more wearable shade for me compared to Kale. Still a little too over the top and dramatic for everyday wear, but I love the hint of blue the peeks out in this almost black lipstick.

Which one of these lipsticks is your favorite or most likely to pick-up for Fall?

Bite Beauty sent the products for consideration. As always, all reviews are my own honest and unbiased opinions.

  2. I am a big fan of Bite beauty. They are so good in quality, so well pigmented and so looks so good on me. Really good and long lasting. I bought a few lipsticks after doing my make-up lesson London by Lina , I am trying out new makeup items to improve my knowledge and skills. Lina is really good and best in my town.
