Easy Breezy | Zara Skort + Gladiator Shoes

I know that everyone's mom and aunt have these skorts from Zara. And I think everyone should own one. They're easily becoming a staple piece for me this spring and summer for an easy, no brainer outfit. And for someone who is afraid of wearing white clothing, especially bottoms, I've been kind of in love with these. I mean who wouldn't these things has pockets!

So a two weekends ago, the boyfriend and I went to Palm Springs for some R&R. We decided to skip Vegas and avoid the crazy shenanigans. This was my first out-of-town trip where I absolutely did nothing except lay by the pool and people watch. No waking up early to go to a tourist spot or staying up late to go clubbing. Just plain relax. And it was very nice and much needed since we both had to come back to a very busy week at work after a nice, long Memorial Day weekend.

It was only also appropriate that I take the skorts out in sunny Palm Springs. They're very light and pretty much easy to pair with anything in my closet. And they're a much better version of the skorts I used to wear in middle school as part of my school uniform.

My only gripe about these skorts is the sizing runs big. I got a size x-small and it's loosely sitting on my hips. A fellow blogger, Jenny, mentioned that these skorts stretch out over time and getting them altered is the only way to fix it. I was hoping that they'll shrink a little bit in size once I throw them in the dryer. I guess I'll be making a trip to tailor soon.
