Equipment Femme, Zara buckled ankle boots, leather skirt, beautybitten

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I have to say that this past weekend was probably the most productive weekend I've had in months. Did all the mundane adult things that I had to do. I mainly worked on my closet and got rid of the things that I haven't worn in years (yes, years) as I've mentioned in my previous post as part of my things to do. I'm pretty happy that I did some major progress with it. I even found things that I almost forgot that I had!

It's been a teeny bit easier getting dressed lately after doing some closet editing. You'd be surprise on what gets lost in your closet. Plenty of "oooh... I forgot I had this" and "when did I buy this." It also made me realize that my shopping habits went a little bit out of hand at one point than I care to admit.

I always forget that I have this rugged Equipment button-down shirt which kinda doubles as thin utility jacket. I love how it looks so worn-in and even a little distressed as if it's an old boyfriend shirt. I'm not sure what this shirt is called, and I don't even think they still carry this at all anymore when I tried to look it up (this shirt might even be a sample now that I think about it since I got this from a sample sale). I wish they still made this because it's a good cover up/layer for the mild chilly days or nights.

Aside from finding oldie but goodie pieces in my closet, I'd have to admit that slowly cleaning out my closet has been a little bit therapeutic. Initially, I thought it would be this crazy madness that I have to deal with. In a way, it's teaching me how to let go of things that no longer make me happy to make room for things that will. It's kinda funny how spending some time with your closet and by yourself end up being a reevaluation of your life too. Or maybe that's just me.

  1. Love it! Glad to see you're putting those Equipment blouses to work. And yes...I feel like it's so much easier to get dressed when you know that everything in your closet flatters you right now. And you can see what you have!
