5 Outfits to Help You Shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale #NSale

Denim shirt / Moto jacket (less than $70) / Black skinnies / Metallic Oxford shoes (available in 3 colors)

Even though I've already visited my Nordstrom store and hauled a few things in my latest video, I'm still periodically checking the Nordstrom website for items to my wardrobe. I'm working my way to the beauty exclusives for any must-haves or sets that I need. I'm going to be sharing my beauty picks in another post. But today, I'm going to share some of my key wardrobe pieces that you can shop during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. With the overwhelming amount items currently marked down up to 40% off,  I've scoured the #NSale for you to give you some ideas on which pieces to add to your closet using some of my previous outfit posts. I picked out the items that are usually on rotation on the reg in my wardrobe no matter what season it is.

If you haven't had the chance to check out Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale early access yet, I talked about it in my previous blog post how you can get your shop on before it the sale goes public on JULY 22. I've noticed that some pieces are either already backordered or sold out, and it hasn't been a week yet since the sale started. You wouldn't want to miss out on grabbing your summer and fall/winter staples at a discounted price while it's hot!!!

Seeing that there are soooo many items that's currently markdown (early access for cardholders only for now, but you can apply now), it can be a little overwhelming to know where to start... let alone what to buy. Sometimes having too many options can make it more difficult to figure out what ends up in your shopping cart. Luckily, with Nordstrom's free shipping and free returns, online shopping doesn't have to be a such a daunting thing.

Here are some of my favorite outfits from my blog archives to give you some outfit ideas with items that are currently markdown for Nordstrom's Anniversary sale. Starting with this outfit...

Denim shirt / Moto jacket (less than $70) / Black skinnies / Metallic Oxford shoes (available in 3 colors)

This outfit was inspired after seeing Gigi Hadid wear a similar combination. I swapped out the white sneakers with some silver oxfords to draw some attention to my feet. However, since I finally just purchased some white sneakers, I would definitely be repeating this outfit to wear my new kicks. I love how this outfit is just so laid back yet still cool at the same time. I also found a moto jacket that's less than $70, yet it looks expensive. I'm thinking of going back for it to buy it! By the way these Paige Skinny pants are my favorite! The Aubergine version is currently on sale. I've worn both jeans to death since I got them. My other Paige skinnies are more on the burgundy side, but the sale version is more on the plummy side which will still make a good fall staple. For reference, I'm wearing a size 24, and they fit me perfectly with no alterations needed. See other ways I've styled my skinnies here.

This outfit is good for both summer and mild fall weather. If the grey top is too much fabric for you, switch it with a super comfy heather grey shirt. I just got this shirt from Lush the other day (in two different colors), and it's the softest t-shirt I've ever owned. It's ridiculous how soft it is. You'd wonder why you didn't have at least one in your drawer. I also love pairing boyfriend shorts with some booties. I also like these black boots from Topshop. The silver hardware buckle adds a rugged yet chic element to the boots. I like pointy boots that are a little bit higher up from the ankle. It helps with the illusion of making me look taller than I am. And for accessories, I always check Nordstrom's Anniversary sale for watches. I've always bought my watches during their sale since they have a pretty good selection. This one is currently sitting in my shopping cart. Time to update to a new watch (no pun intended).

High neck top / Shift dress (sleeveless version here) / Moto jacket (less than $70) / Over-the-knee high boots / Sunglasses

This outfit might a bit more appropriate in the fall. But you can always swap out the OTK boots with these instead, and it'll still look cute! Since this is the second time this moto jacket is making an appearance in this post, you can tell that this is one of my favorite pieces. Thank goodness for chilly summer nights because that's the only chance I can get away wearing this jacket in the middle of the summer. Also, recently I've been into layering my top and my shift dress to create a different look. The high neck top just transforms a simple shift dress into something else and also gives that 90s vibe.  And if you're still looking for over-the-knee high boots, Nordstrom's anniversary sale has a wider range of OTK boots to choose from. I feel like they have more this year compared to last year, so you're bound to find the perfect pair if you don't have one yet. Also, if a Stuart Weitzman OTK boots has been on your wishlist since forever, Nordstrom has them on sale for almost 40% off!

TankBlack skinnies / Rag & Bone ankle boots (similar affordable version here) / Hat / Watch

This tank is probably one of my favorites. So I was happy to see that they have something similar on Nordstrom right now. It can double as a beach cover-up or simply wear it for any casual outings.

Stripe tee / Jeans / Peacoat / Plaid blanket scarf (available in 3 colors) / Hunter boots

It might be still be too early for a winter look right now since we're dead in the middle of July. But that doesn't mean you can't get fall/winter ready. It's never too early! I found this cute plaid blanket scarf in three different colors, and they're only less than $20! I also have this double breasted peacoat (comes in 3 other colors) that I purchased last year. I'm wearing an XS here, and the peacoat has a pretty good weight to it without feeling bulky.

Phew, I hope I didn't lose you in this lengthy post. I hope this helps you narrow down some choices or help you decide what to put in your shopping cart. I'm still shopping for more things myself, and I'll keep you updated on other new items that I bought. If you're not a Nordstrom cardholder yet, no worries, you'll also have the chance to shop the sale in a few more days. But you can also apply now for a Nordstrom credit/debit card if you can't wait.

Share on the comment section if you've purchased something already from the sale! If you haven't yet, let me know what you're planning to buy.
