Beautylish's The Beauty Social Event

Day 1:

This past weekend, October 22 and 23, Beautylish hosted their first Beauty Social in Loews Hotel in Santa Monica. Another great event put together by the Beautylish team. I'm so glad to have been part of it.

More pictures after the jump.

It was only a few months ago this year when Beautylish had their Spring Trend event here in Los Angeles. And a year ago was their very first event LA event where I met so many amazing people that I have become good friends with. If it weren't for Beautylish, I probably wouldn't have met such an amazing group of people who loves makeup and fashion as I do and who I can relate to when it comes to blogging or Youtube.

So think of the Beauty Social as a smaller scale of IMATS, but a little less hectic and with a really good goodie bag. There were a few companies who attended the event and had setup booths, such as Urban Decay, CoverFx, Temptu, Wella, CND, just to name a few. They also had a panel of speakers who shared their thoughts on various topics. My favorite panel moment was during "So You Want to Be a Guru" when Wendy (Wendy's Lookbook) had shared a heartfelt story based on her experience being a blogger/guru and had everyone wiping their tears.

My lovely subscribers...

I was also so ecstatic to meet some of my lovely subscribers. Thank you for supporting my blog and channel. If it weren't for you guys, I would just be writing for myself. And because of you, I'm able to share what I truly love. All the sleepless nights editing videos and pictures or drafting up blog posts make it all worth it for me. I can never say this enough, but thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Lovers & Friends...

I have nothing but love for these people. They continue to inspire and motivate me everyday. I'm glad to have them as my friends.

Fangirl moment (haha)

I was majorly gushing when I finally met Chriselle (ChriselleFactor) and Christine (Temptalia). I love Chriselle's fashion and style videos on Youtube and Christine is the editor of Temptalia, which probably has all the reviews for any product you can think of. It's nice to meet the people you look-up to in person.

Day 2:

And obviously, we didn't go home empty-handed. Beautylish has gifted us with an amazing goodie bag Check out the video below on what's inside my goodie bag.

I'm already looking forward to next year's Beauty Social. Make sure to signup here, to receive updates and details for Beauty Social 2012. You really wouldn't want to miss out again on this great event!

  5. I watch a lot of beauty/fashion youtube and read a lot of fashion blogs of the "up and coming" popular youtubers//bloggers, and I honestly have to say I enjoy and appreciate the "realism" in which you blog and make videos. You truly keep it real, no fakness.

I tend to watch a lot of the Asian females (ex michelle phan, xteener, hollyannaree etc for example), many which I have been watching for years since they have first started. Although I know it must be difficult to become more popular and stay the same, I've noticed that some of the girls I have watched and loved have slowly changed the way in which they blog or make videos due to submitting to corporate demands or just their ever changing life as they grow more popular and become more involved with various projects and companies/affiliates. Sometimes I feel the frequent demand of putting out posts and videos from their viewers means more quantity and less quality.

I like the way in which you put out your material, it reminds me of the way that others have been before you, before their "fame". Don't ever change, although I wish you the most success in what you do! I am close to your age, but my younger cousins and family friends also watch and follow these girls and you guys are really their inspiration and they look up to you. Keep up the good work!

First, it's important to make sure that the account you're interested in is active and has a good reputation. There are a lot of fake accounts out there, so you don't want to waste your time or money on one. tiktok creator account
