Lookbook: Leopard Sweater + Ombre Highlights

As I mentioned previously on my last post, I recently got my ombre highlights redone. Since my hair has grown and I've gotten several haircuts, my first ombre highlights were almost gone. I decided that this time I wanted to go lighter than what I had previously.

Ok, they're really not as brassy looking in person as they are on these pictures. It's more of an ashy cool blonde tone. I decided to start the highlights higher than my previous one, and I've been really enjoying how my hair looks like whether it's curled, wavy, or straight. It just gives my hair a little more dimension and oomph. I really love how it turned out, and so do random strangers that I come across with.

In case you're thinking of getting the ombre highlights done, I highly recommend Lydia from Beauty Box in Echo Park. It was my first time going to her to get my highlights done. The stylist (and acquiantance) who previously did my ombre moved to a different state, so I had to find someone new. Finding a new colorist is definitely nerve-wrecking since it's your hair that's on the line. Lydia was highly recommended by a fellow blogger, so I decided to schedule an appointment with her. She was very warm, and will talk you through the process before getting started. The process took about two hours, but I enjoyed chatting with her while she worked on my hair. So if you're looking for a hair stylist, definitely check her out!

By the way, these pictures were taken in the beautiful SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. My brother (seen on the picture above taking my picture) and I attended a food and wine tasting and demonstration last weekend. We definitely took advantage of the pretty setting of the outside patio of the hotel to take my outfit shots.

  4. Beautiful outfit. So simple and sexy.

Wow. The highlights turned out well. I'm not getting highlights in a long time (too expensive for me right now), but would love to try this ombre effect in the future.

  5. Your bag looks so soft and plush. I like how you're wearing faux fur with an animal print. It seems like there's a theme, lol.
